How do you say?

I believe in coincidence.

This one happened to be a really cool one.

Have you ever wondered if where you reside has influenced your speech? I do, all the time. I actually was talking to a coworker yesterday about how everyone has accents and usually they don't know. Think about it, we all are aware of some accents because of TV shows and movies but we never realize some of those accents are actually our own.

Until this really fun quiz came about.

I actually stumbled upon it when I was reading a post from my favorite blog, Young House Love. It's a quiz entitled What American Accent Do You Have?

Isn't that kind of funny that I was just having a conversation about this and then this quiz came to another bloggers attention. Such a small world.

I'm a sucker for taking polls and quizzes online, and laughing at the results. But not this time. When I took this quiz it was right on point. It was so freaky I took it twice. I got the same result both times. I just couldn't believe it...
I have gotten into many discussions over whether the beverage is called "pop" or "soda". I say "pop". It's pop people. Soda just sounds weird coming out of my mouth. Weird that this quiz didn't know that about me and yet it said it.

Living very close to Lake Erie and a short drive away from Lake Ontario having this quiz give me the result of 100% The Inland North is pretty cool. I have gone on many vacations where people have asked me where I was from. Living in the same town I have since birth I know that people in this area are very hard on their vowels when we speak, and when we travel it's the first thing people notice when we speak.

But this quiz, oh man, was it hilarious to take. First of all, I was taking it in my living room while my Mom was sitting in the same room. She had no idea what I was doing at first, I just started saying random words over and over again. Until I filled her in, then the two of us were filling out the questions.

This question was by far the funniest. The two of us were going back and fourth, out loud, saying "ou" "ou" "ab-ou-t" "l-ou-ou-d" deciding what answer to choose. Some days I wish we had a camera crew.

The quiz took no more than 5 minutes. It was the best 5 minute spent. Take it, laugh and see what you get! And share in the comments below, I'd love to know what everyone gets!!
